Our MissionThe Husky Music Business Association (HMBA) is a student-led organization motivated to help the next generation of music lovers turn their passion into their career. As the only business club focused primarily on the music industry, HMBA allows students to apply their learning into real world situations they are truly interested about. Our priority is to create a path towards careers in the music industry by providing hands-on learning experiences, professional networking opportunities, and insight into the business side of music.Through workshops, guest speakers, industry panels, and event planning opportunities, HMBA provides students with backstage access to the behind the scenes business of the music industry. From artist management and record deals to marketing, promotion, and live events. Members gain both practical skills and connections that prepare them for careers across the diverse fields that make up today’s music industry.Our vision is to establish a community for music interested students to develop their business knowledge and gain the necessary experience to succeed in the industry. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice, empowering students to pursue meaningful careers in music while fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.We are committed to creating inclusive, engaging experiences that not only highlight the opportunities within the music industry but also prepare Foster students to lead as the next generation of innovators in music and business.
